About Us

My name is Nikita Smith, I am the founder of Cozy & Comfy Pet Sitting, LLC. Pets are my passion and have always been a huge part of my life. I have owned mostly dogs, and cats, but have experience with horses, chickens, cows, goats, sheep, and pocket pets. I love all animals and believe every pet deserves respectful treatment and kindness. When I was young I’ve always known I’ve wanted to do work with animals. For a long time I wanted to be a Veterinarian, but after shadowing at a veterinary clinic my dreams changed to be a Veterinary Technician.

I then went to Michigan State University and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology in 2019. I have 3 dogs of my own, and two family dogs, and they mean the world to me.

I started pet sitting in 2015 for one of my mom's coworkers, and I’ve fallen in love ever since! I love providing a sense of ease with my clients so they can have a stress free vacation, work trip, etc. knowing their pet(s) are safe and happy for.

The Process

initial Point of contact

Lets chat via phone, text message, or email and I can answer any questions you have about the services or things you’d like us to do while watching your pet. at this time as well we will discuss dates you're looking for, your location, the number of pets you have, and if any of them are on medications.

Selecting your pet sitter

Based upon your dates and sitter preference either I will select a sitter for you based on availability of the sitter or if you request a sitter who has serviced before please let us know in the initial point of contact.

The meet and greet

Set up a meeting with me or your via phone, text, or email to come over and visit your pet, so we can all get to know each other and make sure we both are a good fit. If you are using a sitter you have not met before Nikita will send you the pet sitters information for you to set up a time to meet with them.

Final steps!

Once you have completed the meet and greet and you are satisfied with your pet sitter, Nikita will go over pricing with you and methods of payments. You will need to fill out the contract prior to your departure which you can find here. please fill out and email back to nikita. NIkita can also send you the contract via DocuSign as well. Nikita is always available via phone, text message, or email with any questions/concerns/emergencies during your bookings!

What Does A Meet & Greet Include?

During the meet & greet, I or the independent contractor will greet you and your pet(s), and answer any questions you may have. Once the you and the pet sitter are comfortable to move forward connect with NIKITA for paperwork/pricing.

How Many Times A Day Should My Pet Sittier Visit During A In-Home Sitting?

The frequency of visits is something you will negotiate with your pet sitter once the pet sitter has a meet and greet with you, and their schedule is discussed with you. Most dogs will require a minimum of 3 visits per day (at least morning, afternoon, and evening). Once per day, or twice per day for cats. your pet sitter will also stay in your home overnight with your pets!

What Does a pet sitter do On A Visit?

our pet sitting visits/in home pet sitting include: Feeding the pets and changing their water bowls daily, providing exercise and playtime (dog walks included), cleaning litter boxes and cleaning up any other pet messes, overnight stays with your pet(s), poop scooping, administering medications, if needed, daily photos/communication with your pet sitter, and providing lots of TLC!

Do you offer Boarding services?

we do not offer boarding pets in the pet sitters home. we provide daily visits for your pets or we can stay overnight as well. Your pets will be much happier in their own home stress free!
